HOT TASK

Eventually, pupils move to the third stage, which is when they apply what has been taught independently. Before this happens, the teacher may decide to give further input and rehearsal. Children are guided through planning, drafting and revising their work independently. Hot tasks are usually linked to our current inquiry or class novel to encourage pupils to use prior knowledge and ensure cross-curricular links.
